Perlenmeer Parents’ Association, Vienna’s first and (to date) only parent-managed kindergarten chain, is looking for an early-years teacher for a family kindergarten group (max. 20 children aged 3-6) at our new location in the heart of the 18th district.
Our new kindergarten group will be cared for by a lead teacher (group leader), a teacher, a teaching assistant and an English native speaker. We see each and every child entrusted to us, as well as each member of our staff, as valuable, unique and radiant in their very own way — just like a pearl. A respectful attitude and eye-level communication, not only with the children but also with parents/guardians and colleagues is just as important to us as catering to the children’s individual strengths and interests.

Tasks and responsibilities:

Lead teacher for a family kindergarten group (max. 20 children) in the 18th district

Implementation of our pedagogical concept

Collaboration on projects and active involvement in the running of the kindergarten

Planning, observation and assessment of the children’s learning

Working with parents to ensure effective delivery of the children’s education
What you will bring to our kindergarten:

Qualifications: You have completed your training in early-years education (BAfEP/BAKiP) OR you are currently undergoing training in early-years education AND have several years of relevant professional experience (e.g. as a kindergarten assistant)

Experience working in kindergarten groups would be an asset

Training in speech and language development would be an asset

Team spirit, commitment and a passion for working with children

Respectful and appreciative interaction with people of all ages

Very good knowledge of German (minimum C1 level) absolutely necessary; very good knowledge of English would be an asset
